Turning Images into Video

How to animate a still image or generate short video clips with Visual Maker AI.

Two ways to create video

Visual Maker AI supports two video creation modes:

  1. Image to Video — upload a still image and animate it into a short clip
  2. Text to Video — describe a scene in text and generate a video directly

Image to Video

This mode is ideal when you already have a generated image that you want to bring to life.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Generate page and select the Video tab.
  2. Set the input mode to Image to Video.
  3. Upload your image or drag one from your gallery.
  4. Optionally add a motion prompt describing the desired animation, e.g.:

Slow camera pan from left to right, gentle wind in the hair, soft focus pull

  5. Click Generate Video.

The process typically takes 15-60 seconds depending on clip length and server load.

Tips for better results

  • High-quality input. The output video can only be as sharp as the source image. Use images at 1024px or larger.
  • Simplify the scene. Images with a clear focal point animate better than busy, cluttered scenes.
  • Be specific about motion. "Subtle breathing" and "gentle wind" produce more natural results than "make it move."

Text to Video

Describe the entire scene in text and the model generates a short clip from scratch.

Example prompt

A serene mountain lake at sunrise, mist rolling across the water, a lone boat drifting slowly, cinematic, slow zoom-in, 4K

Limitations

  • Video generation is more resource-intensive than image generation and consumes more credits (typically 10 per clip).
  • Clip length is currently limited to a few seconds.
  • Complex scenes with many moving elements may produce artifacts.

Supported output formats

Videos are delivered as MP4 files, compatible with all major browsers and social platforms.
