Seedream 5.0 Pro Release Notes and Review for Visual Maker AI
Release notes and a practical review of creating images and refining marked regions with Seedream 5.0 Pro in Visual Maker AI.

Seedream 5.0 Pro is the image model for work that needs both generation and controlled refinement. In Visual Maker AI, it creates from text or reference images and includes an editor for marking the exact region to change.
The model offers 1K and 2K output settings, all standard image aspect ratios, and up to 10 reference images. Choose 1K when you are exploring a direction; use 2K once composition and content are working and you need a sharper final asset.
Start with a clear image brief
A high-quality image prompt does not need to be long, but it should make the important decisions early. A useful order is:
Subject, setting, composition, light, visual treatment, important text or constraints.
For example: "A ceramic pour-over coffee set on pale green tile, overhead composition, morning window light, editorial food photography, small handwritten label reading 'Slow morning', no people."
That gives the model a primary subject, a camera angle, and a visual hierarchy before it reaches the style details.
Edit only the part that needs changing
For a reference-based edit, upload the source image, use the brush, box, or arrow tool to mark the target region, and then describe the change. The mark tells the model where to work; the prompt explains what should happen there.
This is especially useful for product cleanup, swapping a material, replacing an on-image label, or changing a local background detail without discarding the rest of an approved image.
Try a prompt such as: "Replace the marked label with a matte white label carrying the text 'ORBIT 01'. Keep the bottle shape, lighting, and surrounding reflections unchanged."
Use reference images deliberately
One reference image can define the product or character. Additional images can bring in a background, material, palette, or composition. Before adding another file, decide what it contributes. References that give conflicting instructions make visual consistency harder.
For a product shot, a practical set is a primary product image plus one lighting or composition reference. For an infographic, use the written prompt to define the information hierarchy and a visual reference only when it establishes a non-negotiable style.
